 Primary Care and Hope Clinic welcomes two additional medical providers

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Sept. 17, 2014)–  The Primary Care and Hope Clinic announces the addition of Heather Carter, Doctor of Osteopathy and Brian “Daniel” Miser, Family Nurse Practitioner.  Carter and Miser are both responsible for general patient care including healthcare for chronic and acute illnesses, annual physical exams, immunizations, care for minor injuries and women’s health.

Dr. Carter received her Bachelor’s degree in 2005 from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina and received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011.  She completed her residency in 2014 at ETSU Family Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident from 2013-2014.   Dr. Carter is board certified in Family Medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.   She also studied American Sign Language in college and welcomes the opportunity to interact with deaf and hard-of-hearing patients.  In her spare time, Dr. Carter enjoys reading, running, and outdoor activities with her husband Adam.

Daniel Miser received his Bachelor’s degree from Cumberland University in 2008 and his Master of Science in Nursing from Tennessee State University in 2014.  Miser holds certifications as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and in Trauma Nursing.  He is also a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.   Miser currently serves in the U.S. Air National Guard, and has received additional training from the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine.    Prior to joining the Primary Care and Hope Clinic team, Miser worked in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the VA Medical Center Nashville Campus.
